hi all! *completely ignoring the fact that she hasn’t blogged in 4 months*
yesterday, i went to burgerlicious in kings cross (with a voucher!) and tried the MOAB burger. honestly it was a little disappointing. after walking from central to townhall and then finally reaching kings cross on a hot and stuffy day, we sat down on the wooden chairs and dumped our stuff on the wooden table. i’ve got to say i absolutely love their tables; the mahogany wood and cleanliness of it was just wonderful!
the MOAB burger consists of wagyu beef, grilled onions, pineapple, bacon, free-range egg, cheese, beetroot relish, tomato, lettuce, special sauce and ketchup. my fiance went up to order our burgers but i didn’t want pineapple, beetroot relish or tomato. we were starving by the time we got there, thanks to the horrible stuffiness and long walk. the wait seemed like so long but it was probably just about 5 – 10 minutes. we needed to wash our hands but there wasn’t a toilet in site around that shopping centre. our burgers came after we made use of some tissue and water we brought along to clean our hands. i was so excited!
the burger looked so delicious! to my surprise, my chips had chicken salt sprinkled on them. awesome! after taking the photo above, i opened up my burger to check if they remembered my order. although they didn’t put the beetroot relish, tomato and pineapple, i was very saddened to see that they have also left out my cheese and grilled onions… i stole some of my fiance’s cheese and realised it was cheddar cheese. a particularly strong type too. i guess i was thankful they left it out or it may have made my burger worst.
i thought the wagyu pattie was a little tough and lacking juice. the chips were good. they got a little sickening as i was quite full after my burger! my fiance enjoyed his burger but was disappointed that i was disappointed. oh well!
coming up next: wagyu sausages?!
🙂
