biltongman.com.au

last year, my colleague shared some of her biltong she got from thebiltongman and i fell in love. after a bit of clicking around on their website, i found something that made me salivate… wagyu biltong. being a wagyuย fanatic, i immediately assured myself (and my rumbling stomach) that i will be getting some and emailed husband to get me some! i ended up getting 500 grams of the traditional biltong and traditional wagyu biltong. my order arrived within a week and my stomach was ready for some snacking!

i was so excited to see the greasy bag of wagyu biltong and even more excited to see some nicely marbled wagyu biltong in the paper bag. the wagyu biltong was tender, buttery and satisfying… i really loved the flavouring and i’d definitely buy it again soon! the traditional biltong was quite good too. it was a really good and filling low carb snack. i finished the wagyu within 3 days but i took a little longer with the other one. i’m not sure if it’s just me but i felt it got saltier and tougher as i leave it for longer. but i still really enjoyed it!

another update: i’m still alive!

i’m still alive!

a little update on my life…

i’ve started working full time since the end of april. this is my first proper job (not including my 10 months of hell working at a certain fast food chain)! i haven’t lost my passion for wagyu but i’m just finding it so hard to keep a blog while working and trying to continue my fitness routine. i guess it’s hard to fit everything in when i’m working an hour away from work but maybe i can update this blog at work during lunch or something? i’ll try tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

introductions

hi everyone! i thought i might kick off this blog by talking a bit about myself ๐Ÿ™‚

why i started this blog

one random day at uni, i was hungry and a little bored. i started googling for photos of wagyu, the other love of my life. then when i got home at night, i had an idea of starting a blog about my wagyu eating adventures. but then since i don’t eat wagyu that much (i’m a poor student!), i decided i should also blog about eating at different restaurants using vouchers!

my first taste of heaven a.k.a. wagyu

the first time i ever had wagyu, i was pretty young…about 8? i had it at a classy japanese restaurant called nadaman at shangri-la hotel, hong kong. it was served cubed along with some garlic chips, medium rare. all i remember was biting into the piece of meat and juice from the fat leaking out.

best. food. ever.

and from there on, i’ve never had enough of wagyu!

what to expect

well, i’ll update this blog occasionally when i need to rant about wagyu, as the blog name suggests. my fiance and i buy restaurant deals from sites like groupon from time to time then we eat out using these deals about once a week. we always take photos so i guess i’ve been wanting to show these photos off!

there you go. story of my life. until next time peeps ๐Ÿ™‚
